About Nitte

Established in 1986, Nitte Mahalinga Adyanthaya Memorial Institute of Technology (NMAMIT), is an autonomous engineering college in Udupi, Karnataka. The NAAC accredited it with an 'A' grade. The institute also offers seven Undergraduate Programs and three Postgraduate programs. The annual average placement varies from 3 Lacs to 28 Lacs. The Institute will select the student on the basis of the student’s performance in KCET or COMEDK UGET Entrance Exam.

NMAMIT has an influential placement record of from more than 80 renowned companies assisting the college in placements, annually. Over 150 companies help the college by providing internships/ industrial exposure to its students. Around 5- 10% of their students pursue higher studies in the country or outside, preparing for it while on campus.

For the 2019-20 batch, placements is going on with 591 selections and 52 internships by 74 companies from August 2019. Until students got graduate placements continue till then in July 2020. To apply for a ‘Dream’/ ‘Core’ company a student with 8.25 CGPA, selected by a large recruiter is permitted and once they selected by a company, he foregoes the former offer and stay with the Dream company.

NMAMIT Facilities

Being an engineering college, NMAMIT has An advanced infrastructure to meet every students’ requirement. Some of the facilities provided by NMAMIT are as follows:

• Hostels- There are seven hostel blocks for boys and four hostel blocks for girls in NMAMIT. The hostel blocks are equipped with all the requirements like ambulance service, laundry, diesel generators, etc.
• Guest House- For the parents and guardians of the students a guest house facility is provided by the NMAMIT and that is also on a nominal rent. The guest house has all the required facilities.
• Transportation- For the students and staff members the college has around 32 buses of NMAMIT from Udupi, Karkala, Bantwal, Mangaluru, Kundapur, Belthangady.
• Library- The Library timings of NMAMIT Central are from 8:00 am to 11:00 pm. The library area can accommodate around 75810 students at a time and it has all the required newspapers, books, magazines, periodicals.
• Canteen- The campus has three main canteens for snacks, vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals, noodles, coffee, pizzas, tea, ice cream, burgers, etc.
