SRMJEEE Overview

SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Exam which is popularly known as SRMJEEE conducted by SRM Chennai. It is an entrance exam conducted annually for B.Tech admissions at its four campuses as well as SRM University AP and SRM University Haryana. It will be conducted in online mode in the month of April 2019 tentatively. SRMJEEE result will be announced in May and counselling conducted soon after for candidates who qualify on the basis of the SRMJEEE ranks.

How to Apply?

I-Apply online with e-payment

A candidate needs to register themselves for the SRMJEEE to the official website of SRM and pay online.

II-Online with Demand Draft

Application to be filled online by visiting official website of SRM Chennai and the same can be downloaded and sent to SRM concern authority with the DD for Rs.`1100/- drawn in favour of SRMIST, payable at Chennai. The registration for and DD has to reach on the mentioned address before the last date specified. It’s an advice to write your name and address on the back side of the DD and send to:

Admission Criteria for SRMJEEE

There are few courses the admission of which is done directly. In addition to this, the eligibility of the examination for admission to fulfilling the requirement is must.

Any candidate who qualified in IIT-JEE Main will be admitted directly even if the candidate doesn't take SRMJEEE.

Eligibility Criteria for SRMJEEE

Eligibility for B.Tech Programs (Duration: 4 years)

(a) Nationality and Age

To apply for SRMJEEE (UG), a candidate should be a citizen of India or Non-Resident Indian (NRI), holder of PIO or OCI card issued by Government of India.

An applicant should have attained the age of 16 + on the 31st July of the calendar year in which the 12th Board examination is to be held (source).

(b) Qualifying Examination:

 All B.Tech programmes:

Minimum 50% aggregate in PCM

(i) Passed in 12^th or pursuing in Higher Secondary examination in the current academic year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as major subjects in regular stream from any state board within India, CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS

(ii) An applicant should passed A-level of International Baccalaureate (IB) with PCM as major subjects in any International schools within India

B.Tech Biotechnology, B.Tech Biomedical Engineering and B.Tech Genetic Engineering:

Minimum 50% aggregate in PCM / PCB

(i) Pursuing or successfully completed 12^th with Physics, Chemistry and  Mathematics/Biology/ Biotechnology as major subjects from any state board within India like CBSE, ISCE, Matriculation, or NIOS

(ii) International Baccalaureate (IB) A-level with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology as major subjects in any International schools within India

(c)  SRMJEEE (UG)

For B.Tech. Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering and Genetic engineering programs and also for relevant programs in Health Sciences (UG), candidates need to score good in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the entrance exam.

(d) SRM Direct Admission

SRM Chennai stimulate and backing students by giving them direct admission and scholarships to top rank students either they belongs to central or state boards in India. Not only SRMJEEE, but also the top 1000 rankers from IIT JEE, top rankers of Tamil Nadu and sports persons at National and International level.

Eligibility for B.Des. Program (Duration  : 4 Years)

 A pass in 10+2 or its equivalent in academic stream having a minimum total aggregate of 55%.

Eligibility for B.Arch. Program (Duration: 5 Years)

Candidate must have a pass in 10+2 with 50% aggregate, Mathematics as compulsory subject.

A pass in National Aptitude test in Architecture (NATA) conducted by the Council of Architecture.

1.Candidates will be invited for counselling session based on the score obtained in entrance examination

2. The availability of seats is subject for the more counselling sessions.

First Year One-time non-refundable and non-transferable Registration fee of Rs.10,000/- for programs with an annual fees of Rs.1,00,000/- and above and Rs.5,000/- for programs with an annual fees less than Rs.1,00,000/-

Examination Fee per Semester of SRM will be additional based on the number of subjects registered for examination.

CANCELLATION OF ADMISSION AND REFUND POLICY

Through online mode, a candidate can submit the request for cancellation of admission. The money requested for refund will be transferred directly to the bank account of the holder whose name and details were mentioned on the cancelled cheque leaf submitted at the time of counseling/admission.

The refund of money will be affected only by RTGS / NEFT.

The procedure for refund starts once the original documents has been received by the by the Directorate of Admissions, Kattankulathur:

1. All receipts towards the payment of fees
2. Counseling Call Letter
3. Provisional Allotment Letter (PAL)
4. Cheque leaf (cancelled) of the bank to which transfer of money is to be done.

SRMIST will not be responsible for the change/misrepresentation of account information, as received and confirmed by you.

If all the documents submitted for refund are in exact order which are required by the authority, then in that case the time taken to process the transfer of refund money will be 30 working days.
