UGC NET Exam Registration & Application

UGC is advised to candidates to go through information brochure before submission of the application form. Application form is available online mode only. To register for UGC NET, an aspirant should follow few steps:

Step 1 (Registration/Login)

• Log in: Already registered students can directly go to the official website of the UGC NET Exam and login by using their Application Number and Password.
• Registration: New users first go to the official website of UGC NET Exam and then fill the required details for completing the registration process.
• Terms and conditions: After login and entering all the required details in the application form, the Terms and Conditions related to the UGC NET Exam are displayed.
• Proceed: Go through the Terms and Conditions sand then click on Proceed Further. 

Step 2 (Fill the details in the UGC NET Exam form) 

• Entering necessary details: A candidate need to enter the required information related to personal details, Education details, etc in the UGC NET Exam application form.
• Submission: Carefully fill and check the details before move toward the Submit button.
• Confirmation: After click on the Submit button a Review Page appears. Candidates are advised to go through the filled UGC NET Exam form carefully and verify all the information furnished are correct. After verification, click Final Submit button to submit the application form.
• Application Number generation: A system generated UGC NET Exam Application Number will send on the registered email Id. Keep this number safe as it is required to log in again.
• Continue/skip: Now the candidate can continue or skip to a further part. The candidate can continue filling up rest of the information using Application id and Password.
• Photograph and signature: A candidate needs to upload the scanned copies of their photograph & signature in the UGC NET Exam form.
• Rejection of forms: Candidates should fill all the personal and educational details on the UGC NET Exam application form. Candidates must keep in mind that if the entries are not appropriate in the UGC NET Exam form will be rejected.

Step 3 (Uploading Scanned Images)

 Candidates should upload the scanned images only in the specified format and dimensions in the UGC NET Exam form.

Standards to be followed while uploading the photo in UGC NET Exam form

• Format: jpg/jpeg.
• Size of the photo: 4KB – 40KB.
• Photograph dimension(width*Height): 5 cm * 4.5 cm
• Size of signature image: 1KB – 30 KB.
• Signature dimension(length*Height): 5 cm * 1.5 cm.

Step 4 (UGC NET Exam Application Fee Payment)

• Payment mode: Candidates can make the payment either through online payment or E-Challan.
• E-Challan: In case of E-Challan, the system will generate an E-Challan that the candidate has to get printed and submit it along with the UGC NET Exam fee to any nearest Bank.
• Debit/Credit card: Candidates can also make the payment through selecting Debit/Credit Card and proceed to the next page of UGC NET Exam fees payment.
• GST/Processing charges & GST are to be paid by the candidate, as applicable.
