NIFT Exam Eligibility Criteria for UG Programs

NIFT Exam Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification

• The candidate who cleared there 12^th from Central or State Board.
• The candidate who cleared there General Certificate Education (GCE) Exam from London, Cambridge or Sri Lanka at the Advanced level can also apply for NIFT Exam.
• The candidate who have completed there diploma from the university which is affiliated with State Board of Technology or AICTE.

NIFT Exam Eligibility Criteria Age Criteria

• Candidate should be up to 23 years as on 1st October to the year of NIFT Exam.
• There will be the relaxation of 5 years for the candidates who come under Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribe/Person with Disability (PWD).

Eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Fashion Technology (Apparel Production) (BFTech)

• The candidate must hold 10 or +2 level of examination from a recognized Central/state board of secondary examination, New Delhi or the candidates must possess GCE (General Certificate Education) examination at the advanced level with Physics and Chemistry to apply for the course.
• The candidates holding the Diploma certificate of 3-4 years in Engineering recognized by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) also have the eligibility for BFTech.

NIFT Exam Eligibility Criteria for PG Courses

For the postgraduate programs, there is no age limit mentioned under the eligibility criteria

Eligibility criteria for MDes (Master of Design) in NIFT Exam

• The candidate must hold Diploma in Undergraduate design from NIFT/NID only or Undergraduate degree from any recognized institute to fulfill the eligibility criteria.
• The candidate must hold minimum 3 years undergraduate diploma certificate from NIFT or NID.

NIFT Exam Eligibility Criteria for MFM (Master of Fashion Management) in NIFT

• The candidate applying for MFM must hold a minimum 3 years undergraduate degree from NIFT or NID or Undergraduate degree from any recognized institute.
• The candidate who completed their graduation course from any affiliated university can also apply for NIFT Exam.

NIFT Exam Eligibility Criteria for MFTech (Master of Fashion Technology) in NIFT

• The candidates applying for MFTech must hold BTech/BE degree from any recognized institute or BFTech from NIFT to apply for the course.
• A candidate who completed their BE or BTech from an affiliated university can also apply for the NIFT Exam.    

Apart from this, there is a reservation of 15% of seats i.e. 5 seats in each course at NIFT for foreign nationals/SAARC/NRIs. Such candidates will be offered admissions based on the below mentioned exams:
