National Aptitude Test in Architecture

NATA Exam Analysis

To qualifying the NATA Exam, one should secure at least 25% of marks in entrance exam. As aspirant has to obtain 30 marks out of 120 in Paper 1 and 20 marks out of 80 in Paper 2. The overall qualifying marks will be notified later on the basis of post-exam statistics and decision of the council.

Till now, NATA Exam was conducted as an online test, but as per the new pattern, the NATA Exam has conducted in offline mode.

Mathematics & General Aptitude Test 

Paper 1 of NATA Exam contained 60 multiple choice questions from Maths and Aptitude which need to finish in 1 hour 30 minutes. Each question carries two marks for correct answer and there is no negative marking for wrong answers. This segment involves checking the perception, observation, imagination, understanding of scale and proportions, creativity and communication along with architectural awareness.

Also, this part will also test the Mathematics level in terms of Algebra, Complex numbers, Logarithms, quadratic equations, Matrices, Binomial theorem, 2D – Coordinate Geometry, Integral Calculus, Differential Calculus, Vectors, Statistics, Probability, and Permutation & combinations,.

Drawing Test

In this part of NATA Exam, a candidate has to draw or sketch a diagram in 3D as per their visualization, symmetry and sketching ability. Through the sketching, the ability of visualization will be tested. It has 2 questions in total and has to be attended in A4 Size paper. Each question carried 40 marks. It is mandatory to attempt all the questions. The answers in this section will be examined by more than one examiner and then marks will be averaged. 

NATA Exam Cutoffs:- 

To get selected in NATA Exam, applicants are expected to secure 40% or more marks i.e. obtain at least 80 marks out of 200. 

The cutoff for NATA Exam would be declared soon.
