The aspiring candidates who are seeking admissions into the Medical courses offered by the Annamalai University through AU AIMEE must fulfill the following criteria:
Citizenship: The foremost criteria for AU AIMEE are the candidate must be a citizen of India. The Non-resident Indian (NRIs) students who are registered themselves under the section 7A of Citizenship Act are also eligible to apply for the AU AIMEE for taking admission to MBBS/BDS courses.
Nativity: The students who have completed their studies in Tamil Nadu from class 8th to 12th are no need to bring the nativity Certificate at the time of admission but the test takers who are the natives of Tamil Nadu but have completed their class 8th to 12th either partly or completely from outside Tamil Nadu are required to show their Nativity Certificate which is being issued by the competent authority and in the specific formats. Along with Nativity Certificate candidate must also submit the copy of Birth Certificate/ Ration Card/Passport. In case of failure, the AU AIMEE application of that candidate will be rejected.
Age Limit: To appear in the AU AIMEE, the candidates should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31stDecember. Birth Certificate/matriculation is supposed to be submitted as age proof at the time of admission.
Educational Qualification: The candidates who are willing to appear for the AU AIMEE to take admission for the BDS/MBBS courses must have qualified the 10+2 from Tamil Nadu or any other equivalent Board in first attempt with pass in all subjects.

AU AIMEE eligibility for SC/ST/SC- Arunthathiyar:
The minimum marks required for BDS in AU AIMEE are: Candidates of SC/ST/OBC/MBC/DNC/SC- Arunthathiyar should have the scores not less than 50% of the aggregate in Chemistry, Physics, Botany/ Biology and Zoology taken altogether. For rest of the communities the aggregate is 60% in the above mentioned subjects altogether.
