The first college in India to start offering a Bachelor's in Catering Technology & Culinary Arts was INDIAN ACADEMY OF CATERING TECHNOLOGY & CULINARTY ARTS (ITCA&CA in Hyderabad) in the year 1996 . Osmania University was the First University in India was the First university to offer this bachelor’s degree through the Faculty of Technology with approval from Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education in then united AP. This pioneering program introduced in the late 90s marked a significant milestone in the culinary education landscape of the country. Because till then there was no professional qualification for becoming Chef’s was available in Indian Higher Education System in India.
