University of North Bengal (NBU), Darjeeling was established by an act of 1962 of the Legislature of West Bengal. The university comprises two campuses situated at Raja Rammohanpur near Siliguri and at Danguajhar in Jalpaiguri. It currently offers undergraduate, postgraduate, M Phil, and Doctorate programs with its jurisdiction extending to 6 North Bengal districts and the neighboring state of Sikkim.
