Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU) is one of the best universities in the Gujrat. Earlier, it was known as Baroda College established in 1881 by Baroda State. The mane of the University Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda had been named after the famed Maharaja Sayajirao Gaekwad III Sir Pratapsinghrao Gaekwad, the previous ruler of Baroda
- MSU is the only state University with a residential, unitary character having English as sole medium of instruction
