About College
The Indira Gandhi National Open University, known as IGNOU is a distance learning public and central university that was established under the Indira Gandhi National Open University Act, 1985 (IGNOU Act 1985) with a budget of INR 20 Million. With over 4 million students, IGNOU is the largest university in the world that is run by the Indian central government. It offers approximately 228 certificates, diploma, degree and doctoral course through 21 schools and a network of 67 regional centers, 2,667 study centers, and 29 overseas centers in 15 countries. Approved by the AICTE and Association of Indian Universities, IGNOU is recognized by the UGC (University Grants Commission) also. The 1st virtual campus of India was also launched by IGNOU in 1999 and also provide education to all jail inmates across the country that too free of cost.
IGNOU also promotes and maintain distance education standards in India. With the international recognition and presence, it aims at providing high-quality education and knowledge seamlessly accessible to everyone.

Project
- IGNOU-UNESCO Gender Training Project: This gender training kit gives you an opportunity to upgrade your knowledge and skills in the crucial area of gender and development. If you are already engaged in gender training or you want to become a gender trainer, you can sign up at the learning centre
- Construction Workers Vocational Qualification (CWVQ) Project: The project aims at providing competency based vocational training, assessment and certification through the distance mode for skill development of construction workers. The project has been implemented with the help of Builders' Association of India (BAI), National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) and National Academy of Construction (NAC), Hyderabad.
Library
The IGNOU library is the most resourceful information centre in the country in the field of Distance Education. The library has the largest collection of books, journals and other related materials in the field of Distance Education, throughout the country. It was established in 1986 in tune with the objectives of IGNOU

What is the admission criteria for IGNOU ?

Admission criteria for 1) BBA (Auto Retailing) - 10+2 or High School Senior Secondary exam by the CBSE or any equivalent exam conducted by any State Board or Equivalent with a minimum 50% Aggregate with English as a subject. 2) MBA - Bachelors degree in any discipline obtained through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent from recognized Universities. Note - A Relaxation of 5% aggregate is there for SC, ST candidates for above courses.

The atmosphere and canteen are very impressive in this university. The lab equipment is very innovative and best in collage. They will conduct exams regularly to increase knowledge in the students. They teach to students about personality development and communication skills. I strongly recommenced this university to students who studied distance education.
