About College
Technology institutes in India have played a vital role in the country’s development and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad to has played a significant part.
Established on February 27, 2009, the institute has made immense contributions towards inventions and innovations in the field of technology.
The foundation stone of the IIT-H campus was laid by Smt. Sonia Gandhi
- The institute offers a high level of education and advanced knowledge to prepare the students for the competitive world
- It has the mission to become a leader and the main idea generator in the areas of research and education
- The students are also awarded certain scholarships so as to give them a boost to crave for more and bring glory to the institute and the nation at large
- IITH admitted 120 B.Tech. Students, 10-15 Ph.D. students, and 35 M.Tech. students
- There are a number of departments in IIT-H known for exceptional facilities and a team of extremely talented and skilled faculty
- The institute started functioning with 111 B. Tech students initially and at present, it runs courses like M. Tech and Ph. D
- The foundation stone of the IIT-H campus was laid by Smt. Sonia Gandhi
- Essential infrastructural facilities are available on the OFMK campus making sure that the students do not have to face any inconvenience

Extra-Curricular
IIT-H students are blessed to have an administration that promotes extra-curricular activities. There is a student council on campus known as Student Gymkhana, which takes care of all the co-curricular activities. Besides this, there are several clubs on campus such as
- Prakriti- the Nature Club
- SPICMACAY for the cultural side of the college
- The Sci-Tech Council
Festivals
Enthralling festivals are also being organized by the students at the Indian Institute of Technology-Hyderabad campus in which all the students actively participate.
